Osiris was searching to regain its form, its winning streak. Unfortunately, that quest of theirs was thwarted by Unido FC.
Osiris was undone by Unido’s targetman within the first ten minutes. A free kick, carelessly conceded by Clarence Chew just 25 metres out, was executed superbly. Osiris keeper Ng Tze How had a hand to it but the power of the shot was too much for him to handle, and Ng palmed the ball into the top corner of the goal. The dreadful mistake had Osiris one-nil down in an instant.
Osiris braced itself to fight for an equalizer. Just moments from the break, a toe-poke cross by right-mid Victor Lee, which initially seemed like a flop, curled outwards and went straight to the keeper. It proved to be an incisive pass threaded to striker Colin Wong, who beat the offside trap, was quickest to the ball and nodded it past the keeper. That leveled things up for Osiris, leaving the game open for either side to grab a winner. Soon after, it was half-time.
The second half started, and Unido was on the prowl for the winning goal. Passes were mostly targeted at Unido’s lanky centre forward. Naturally, this was the case as he was the team’s most prolific striker. However, James Zhu and Victor Shi, Osiris’ sturdy center-halves, cut out any chance that he may have made.
There was not much going on throughout the match. Series of passes were made by both teams but no result arose. The attacks were put to a stop by defenders of both sides at the last third of the pitch.
Alas, the game ended with both teams sharing the spoils, each grabbing one point each.

Dear all, take note of the following.
Dear Teams,
As we work with the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) for pitch allocations for our league games on a monthly basis, it has just come to our attention that the SSC, will be closing a big percentage of its pitches in November and December of 2009. This is in line with SSC's yearly maintenance and repair works during these months. With that our league will be affected. This is a first for D2D, as we usually experience the SSC to stagger its maintenance programme so as not to close a majority of pitches at the same time. This we feel will affect other leagues and organisers.
During this period, D2D will continue with our league games with some challenges, an example being - teams may not be playing every week. D2D is also in the midst of negotiations with private field owners to secure non-SSC fields during this time. As is usually the case, there will be not be any league games organised in the last two weeks of December due to the festive season's holidays. Looking at the positive side of the situation, we will have better pitches come January 2010, and considering the upcoming monsoon season, we may experience alot of call-offs or rain-offs due to bad weather if the league will go on as originally planned.
We understand that this may significantly affect the league schedule and your teams' commitments. We appreciate your patience, understanding and cooperation and are happy to discuss further to explain details. Fixtures will continue to be updated on our website. Kindly direct any queries on the above matter to info@d2dsports.com or contact your main D2D liaison staff.
Thanks for your kind understanding.

D2D Sun 3pm/5pm League Weekly Round-Up
OPOD News Center -
Just 3 weeks into the 14 game season and a 3 horse race seem to have developed in Division 4. Kentridge Rangers, Osiris FC and Unido FC each won their game this weekend to claim maximum points from their first 3 league games.
Unido FC was merciless against Sporting Goras, firing 4 past the bottom of table team, making it the first win with a margin that was more than 1 goal. Kentridge Rangers and Osiris FC each won their game 1-0 against SHCFC and Team Tsubasa respectively. (Match report by Osiris FC)
Macsters FT bagged their 2nd win of the season with a 3-1 scoreline against SS, who made their league debut yesterday. Elsewhere, Woodland Vista won the "battle of the young ones", triumphing 3-1 ovr Casanova XI.

Division 4: Gap develops
It may be 2 games into the season but a little gap has already developed at the top of the Div 4 table. Kentridge Rangers, Osiris FC and Unido FC each won their game comfortably and extended their lead at the top of the table. Kentridge Rangers, formerly from Div 1, were particularly impressive and already have a goal difference of 9 from 2 games. Osiris FC also demonstrated great fighting spirit, coming from behind to wrestle a 3-2 win over Woodlandvista WV. (See match report by Osiris FC)
In Ahmad Ibrahim Sec, Macsters FT secured their first win of the season with a 3-1 win over former mini car league side SHCFC and restored some much needed confidence after last weekend's disappointing capitulation to Osiris FC.

Division 1: Oogleeee wins
Oogleeee Boys got their season off to a good start as they squeezed a narrow 3-2 victory over Nitroz, who had a player sent off.
Division 2: KB continues struggle
KB United, relegated from Div 1, continued to struggle for form in their opening game in Div 2 as they were out-classed by New Eastroids FC 4-1. Renaissance FC showed newly promoted FC Tempastella that life in a higher division will not be as smooth sailing as before with a whopping 6-3 victory.
Division 3: 1980s come from behind
In Orchid Park Sec, 2 late goals by 1980s United FC saw them come from behind to win 3-2 against newly promoted Macheda. Total Football, who are Island Wide League participants D2D FC's feeder team, overcame Ultras by the same scoreline while Season 3 Div 4 champions Samalongkok were held to a 2-2 draw by Redbacks FC.
Division 4: Osiris downs Macsters
League debutants Osiris FC romped to a 5-1 victory against Macsters FT. Osiris FC's strategy of constant substitutions to keep their 11 players on the field fresh worked to their advantage as they destroyed Macsters FT in a devastating 2nd half display.
Kentridge Rangers, rumoured to have been relegated to Div 4 by their own request, fired 6 past Sporting Goras without reply. New boys Unido FC got off to the perfect start with a 1-0 victory over Woodlandvista WV, while Team Tsubasa edged the battle of the league debutants against SHCFC 2-1.

Season 4 promises to bring in new challenges and competition. Incorporating for the 2nd time in the Sunday league is the D2D Cup Competition, where all 4 divisions will face off each other in group and then a knock–out tournament format. This has been a huge success in D2D's Sunday League season 3, with the teams in the lower divisions pitting against the top teams, and as always the case - creating some upsets.

Note:
To make these new awards fair and fluent we hope that all team cpts/vice cpts will call or sms results, cards received and goalscores name/s after every game. This will make it easier for D2D`s management to compile and compare will the referee`s results.

Points noted from previous season**
There were many points noted during previous seasons. Teams and referees have given us their feedback and some changes were made.
1. Late comers/last minute cancellations/no shows for both referees & teams**.This is a very serious matter and the management will not tolerate or condone such behavior. Any teams found guilty of a no show will be deducted 1 point and fined $100. If a replacement team is not found to replace a last minute cancellation the same penalty will be imposed to cover the basic costs of field and referees. Three points will be awarded to other team involved. Team Captains must informed the organiser latest by Tuesday 5pm if there are unable to play the coming week games.
2. League Fixtures***. All weekly fixtures will be out by Monday 5pm.
3. Postpone of Games***: Each team are allow to postpone 2 games throughout the tournament. This to ensure that the league finishes promptly. All teams must inform D2D`s management by Wednesday 12pm to postpone their Sunday`s game. Any later will result in an automatic walkover. (IMPT)
4. Fights***.This will never be tolerated at all. Teams found guilty will be deducted 2 points after a fair assessment from the referee and the two managers. D2D will not hesitate to expel teams who are frequently involved in fights and causes trouble to the league.D2D`s will not compromise the integrity and the safety of the other teams and referees alike. D2D has in the past encouraged players and referees to make a police report and will cooperate with the police to give the information and particulars of the offenders.
5. Standard of refereeing*. Referee`s are always the center of controversy either in big BPL games or even social games. Sometimes if mistakes are made teams are too quick to abuse referee`s and sometimes man-handle them. They need to be protected and D2D will protect them if such incidences occur. However teams have every right to feedback if the referee is of a sub standard quality.D2D will investigate and if too many complains are made against him/her, D2D will not hesitate to fine or ban the referee to do future league games. Please note that D2D has implemented the Referee Assessment Grading for teams, to ensure that we maintain a good standard of referees in our league and weed off those who feel are not appropriate to officiate our league games. Managers/Captains are encouraged to SMS 1,2,3,4 or 5 (1-Bad to 5-V Good) with venue and time of the game immediately after their respective matches. They are also encourage to SMS the results and cards for the game. We are not able to be at all pitches at the same time to assess the referees, the cooperation of the managers/captains will be much appreciated.
6. Match Reports. If teams are maintaining their respective team sites/blogs, appreciate if the teams could email over their match reports for us to put up also. D2D may amend the reports to suit our site after receiving them.

anyway, some things to take note of the last game.
overall i think we played well as a team and we could have prolly scored more than the 1 goal winning margin. but there's something that we need to take note of, which is the way we react to provocation. i know we want to show how tough we are sometimes, but in a game like this, where every point counts, it would be wiser, to just earn the foul, or provoke the opponent by 'fouling' him rather than using physical action to do so. means, after a 'foul' or provokation, we walk away from the event, instead of say 'spitting' or 'fighting' or provoking the opponent further. why. becos, sometimes, mindgames work better than physical action. so smile at the opponent and infuriate him further, but dun try to fight or return the action. you will realize that it puts him off, and he will try to get at u, and the next time he does it, just dive and frustrate him further, and get up and smile at him after the referee blows the foul. it works for me all the time. =D
so let's cut out the unneccesary stuff in our game and instead focus on messing them up in their minds. =D

Matchday 11 Scoreline:
Venue: Bowen Secondary
Final Score: Unido FC (Pink) 1 - 1 Blue Team
Monday, March 30, 2009
Matchday 10 was a good day as the weather remained clear and sunny, preventing the third cancellation in the past month.
The match started with Wenwei in goal, Marcus and Victor in the centreback positions and Ah Guan and Donny completing the back four. In midfield Shi An and Jia Liang occupied the wings while Hogan, Jun Qiang and Chun Seng remained in their usual central midfield positions. Leslie led the attack once again as the lone striker upfront. Fullback Wee Loon remained on the bench due to an injury while defensive midfielder Sherman sat out the match in preparation for his medical checkup the next day.
The match started well with exchanges mainly in the middle of the park. Neither team was able to translate their movements into results in the final third. Play for Unido was as usual mainly down the centre and right flank as the match ended 0-0 in half time.
Second half brought on fresh legs as Ben, Kerong and Hong Lun all made late appearances to help rejuvenate the team. Goalkeeper Wenwei tried a different approach as passes were spread to the left flank to winger Shi An. However, he was repeatedly cut out and the attacks broke down. Kerong had some good chances but the failure to make full use of them meant that the score remained 0-0.
The best chances fell to Hogan as he twice went close to scoring, narrowly missing the goal with the keeper beaten. The second time, Leslie was at the far post but he failed to connect with the ball inches away from his outstretched legs. At the other end, the opponents also twice came close to scoring. Last-ditch efforts by the defence had the ball out for corners and the resulting set-pieces ended in nothing.
Midway through the second half, Hogan picked up a controversial yellow card for an innocent challenge and the referee's judgement continued to be questioned following his recent performances. The match ended 0-0 with the team looking to improve their fortunes on the artificial turf of Bowen Secondary come one week's time.
