Unido is back once again for its match reports. Guess it's been a while since a match report was created.
Unido having taken a break from D2D Div3 League for half a year due to hectic schedule with the squad members. However, this did not stop Unido from having friendly matches weekly. A return to D2D for the former Div4 Runner Up is possible too .
Unido sporting in their Pink jersey (Palermo lookalike) against a young squad on a sunny and humid weather. First 15mins, the match was pretty two sided game. It was not till J.LO efforts - outside the penalty box with a well placed finish that made Unido start having the scoring mood. Few mins later in a similar fashion, J.LO whom was alert that the GK was out of his line. He proceeded in heading the ball past GK. Unido had several chances and didn't capitalized. Seng had an open goal mount chance in which was wasteful after Danny had teased the defenders but he was forgiven as he made amends for it by finishing cooling after being set up by Sze Wee whom was the architect as he measured a through pass well. Seng was also a culprit in which he made the opposition lost an important player. The defence was also instrumental in cutting out all the passes and efforts from the opponent. 1st half ended 3-0 to Unido.
2nd Half begins with a quick response from the opponent. They captivilized the overconfident Unido by executing a good counter attack on Unido. Unido defence woken and had KPI written on their forehead which was not conceding any more goals. After 15mins into the game, Unido responded with a cool finishing by Unido's youngest player – he (Ishak- Correct name?) coolly slotting the ball in between the GK legs after being set up by Wilson on the left wing. In the last 15mins, Unido was awarded a free kick 20metre. JQ step up and curved a shot towards the GK in which he had mishandled the shot and the shot bounced into the goal mouth. 5-1 to Unido. The opponents scored a deserved consolation screamer goal late in the 2nd half past Seng.
Match ended 5-2 --> Overall, a good performance and team effort from Unido after a one week break. A match marked with a good right back wing play by Reuben (Newly Married) =).
